Co-Director, SeRP (Secure eResearch Platform)
Simon is a professor of Health Informatics at Swansea University and a systems architect with many years’ experience in the NHS and academia. He is the chief technologist who leads a large team of talented, diverse skilled software developers at Secure eResearch Platform (SeRP). Simon is Co-director of SAIL Databank and leads the innovation, design and implementation of all SAIL technical system developments. Simon is Deputy Associate Director at Dementias Platform UK (DPUK), playing an instrumental role in the ongoing development of the DPUK Data Portal. He is responsible for delivering the technical workstream for all data research investments at Population Data Science at Swansea University as part of an international network of e-research centres.
