Robin is a leading UK expert in data linkage, with 11 years of experience working within the longitudinal population research community. Robin led UK Biobank’s data linkage programme for seven years, developing specialist knowledge in linking to General Practice records and the challenges of linking to and harmonising three nation (England/Scotland/Wales) health data.
Based at the University of Edinburgh’s Usher Institute, Robin is now Co-Director of UK Longitudinal Linkage Collaboration (UK LLC) where she co-led the creation and delivery of the vision for a Trusted Research Environment for the UK longitudinal population research community and uses her extensive knowledge and understanding of the data science landscape to deliver strong partnerships across the collaboration. Additionally, Robin is the Chief Operations Officer for Generation Scotland, an inter-generational family focussed longitudinal population study with over 24,000 members, providing strategic leadership across data linkage, recruitment and communications.
