Richard is a Professor of Health and Medical Informatics at King’s College London and University College London, leading AI and data-driven health research. He co-founded the CogStack platform, used globally to enhance clinical decision-making, and developed the RADAR-Base platform for patient-generated data from wearables. As Deputy Director of the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre, he drives AI innovation in healthcare.
His latest work, Foresight, uses large language models to predict medical events, shaping the future of AI in healthcare. He collaborates with NHS England, regulators, and industry partners to ensure ethical AI adoption. Recognised for his impact, his research has influenced national policy and improved healthcare delivery worldwide.
